CPS Node Architecture and Energy Management Practice Exam

In the context of IoT, sensor node architecture primarily consists of controllers and sensors, which form the backbone of how sensor nodes function.

Sensors are critical as they are the components that detect physical phenomena, such as temperature, humidity, motion, and light. They gather data from their environment, which is essential for monitoring and controlling various processes in IoT applications.

Controllers, on the other hand, are responsible for processing the data collected by the sensors. They interpret the signals from the sensors and can make decisions based on that data. This allows for the effective management of tasks and the implementation of control actions, reinforcing the functionality of the entire sensor node.

Together, sensors and controllers enable the node to perform its primary function: to collect and process environmental data, making them foundational elements in IoT architectures. This pairing facilitates the interaction between the physical world and digital systems, making it integral to IoT applications.
